Hydraulic Hybrid

Wow, recover nearly all of your braking energy. Seems better than a hybrid. I took a Toyota Prius for my rental a week ago. Noticed that the battery is not used on the highway, only for acceleration and deceleration. This method could weigh less and be more efficient than a pack of batteries and an electric motor. BTW, the Prius is no dog, it has plenty of power! I had about 42 mpg performance.
