Welcome to Heavens-Above
This is pretty wild! You can track satellites, old rockets, iridium flares and even the international space station with this website. Just enter in your city and it will tell you when a satellite is supposed to be VISIBLE IN THE NIGHT SKY. I tried it tonight and saw a Russian Cosmos 2082 rocket body (3.4 magnitude) in orbit pass over my house. This could be seen even with street lights! Iridium flares can actually be seen in daytime.
